This book It was a serious move. Tayari These are real people, people that I feel like I know or would go to church with. It’s always a pleasure when a writer creates a story so complicated that you don’t know which side you should be on. This was not something I expected to evaluate. book Because I was certain it would receive many evaluations, which I didn’t care about, I found one.-This publication received a star rating from the reviewer, who simply said that he couldn’t relate to these people. It was mostly letters.

Although I don’t know how many y’all can relate to a broken black couple in America, I was moved by the second letter (the first one written by Roy). I am only 22 years old. I’ve never been married. When I received this book It arrived in the mail and I opened it up to see if I liked it. It actually remained on my shelf for several months, even though I knew it would be gone soon. It is a story about a Black couple facing issues after their husband was imprisoned. I thought, “How will I relate to this?” It was in 2018 that I expanded my analysis and chose to pick it up. I was captivated by the low, roaring sound of the storyline. While Roy’s imprisonment is the main axis on which the story revolves, it’s not just a tale about prison. It’s a story about all the people who are affected by Roy’s imprisonment. We discover our partnership through their letters to each others. Initialy, I was confused by the lack of dates in the letters. However, I quickly realized that this was likely an intentional selection. The adjustments in Celestial allow us to see time the same way Roy does.
