It’s a great story, both in terms of what happens and how it all comes together. Tandi has to learn a lot of hard lessons, but she is helped by people who treat her with compassion and show genuine respect.-As she does, she becomes more powerful and can rely on herself.

The I loved the way Iola’s tale was told. I felt so much love and appreciation for her and for her character. I also felt real sorrow for her injuries and injustices. Her simple, sincere letters to her father motivated me. Her caring and generous acts of kindness, love, and concern for those in need were what influenced me. My heart broke for her beautiful spirit as well as lonely, anonymous death. I wonder how many Iola’s I have missed in my busy, safe, careless life?
