My first attempt at this series was not a success. I was inspired by the wonderful features in the second issue of the collection and decided to give it another chance. I’m so happy that I did.

Stellan isn’t one to be afraid of pursuing his dreams, and he wants Sixx. He is smart enough to know that he only has one chance to make Sixx his. He spends months researching and then silently observes. Finally, he manages to capture the notoriously timid woman and surprise her with his extravagant gift.
Thus begins the war of wills. Stellan continues his quest to find Simone. He has found the true heart of Sixx, but he is able to do his job. She has experienced a life that taught her that love is not secure. They also take three steps back for every step they take. They’re both tops but it quickly becomes evident that Stellan needs to be creative in order to fulfill her requirements. Her tendency is to be scared whenever points get too real. This happens quite often. Stellan is able to recognize the signs and I loved the way he handled her crazy moments. He finds the perfect mix of strength, authority, straight talk, approval, as well as approval that draws her out of her head when she is struggling. And he also gives her the space and quiet she needs to process all of it. They are both the other half of one another.
Despite being horrified by the thought of finding genuine joy only to have it stolen from her, she eventually begins to rely on it. While the journey was not always easy for everyone (including me), it was an enjoyable one that I thoroughly enjoyed. It is still a part of my heart after finishing the trip. book.
