Kasia, the spunky Polish teen who is interested in fighting the Germans but also wants to get involved with the underground, would be the perfect candidate. Her sweetheart, sister, and mom are all taken into custody. They are then sent to a women’s concentration camp where they will be “rehabilitated.”-Education” was a place where Nazi medical personnel performed unsavory operations on human subjects. They are being subjected to horrible clinical experiments, along with 72 other Polish women. They are called the Rabbits. This story follows the lives of these women and the ways they intersect. Caroline is eventually alerted about the predicament faced by the Rabbits. She raises money to allow them to receive medical treatment in the US to help them recover from the injuries they sustained.
